I'm Ruslan, a famous photographer and travel-blogger who has traveled to 44 countries, and I was planning to finish 50 in 2019. However, the Covid changed my plans, and I ended up in my native land. After traveling around it, I realized that it was cooler here than in all the foreign countries put together, so I decided to stay, and after a while I had a burning desire to show people my Dagestan.
My Dagestan is all about atmospheric villages, photo locations, grandmothers with the tastiest apricot porridge and the most exciting stories.
If you want an overview tour of 5 minutes in each place, you're not coming to me.
I'm for not turning vacation into a race, take your time, feel the atmosphere, get in touch with the culture and traditions of the locals. More

About the tour: We went on tour in early April. Although the weather was very unpredictable and changeable, everything went perfectly!
Without haste, we calmly enjoyed the beautiful locations, visited the best observation decks, drank great coffee and ate delicious food. We lived in mountain villages, in very cozy places.

Atmospheric and soulful, like traveling with an old friend! Ruslan answered all our questions and told us a lot of interesting things about Dagestan. Thank you so much! Read more

5 days to see real Dagestan

About the tour: We took the tour in early September. It was a very interesting trip with emotions that were overwhelming from beauty! We walked in the fog under the waterfall, ran on the grass in the mountains, went to a coffee shop somewhere at the top, watched the sunset at the fortress, ate local food in interesting places, and caring girls advised us to try a miracle because they had it especially good and it was so! We slept in cozy houses in villages, which are much better in terms of cleanliness and quality than in Makhachkala or Derbent. Our last night was in an authentic old local house, it was a delight! And it's all thanks to our guide!

Ruslan, thank you for everything! Travel time, stops at beautiful locations, places where we ate and slept. All this time we were admiring the beauty and didn't think about the transfer, the overnight stay, or the food! Didn't want to leave. The entire route was thought out by our guide with great care so that the trip was comfortable, enjoyable and eventful! About the tour: Ruslan is a very professional guide. He took me to many interesting places — both ancient sites and beautiful natural places (as I asked). It gives exactly the amount of information, not too much, not too little. The bonus was that he was a photographer himself and he advised me about the future. Everything was well organized. I enjoyed talking to Ruslan. I doubt it's possible to find a better guide than Ruslan.

A note to international travelers as well. (For foreign travelers). if you don't speak Russia, Ruslan speaks English. Also; because he has traveled widely he has a very open mindset, while remaining within the roots of his home territory (Dagestan) so he is in an ideal position to communicate something about the history and traditions of Dagestan. I really doubt you could find a better guide to Dagestan than Ruslan. Read more
