About the tour: Hello, I would like to leave a grateful review for the gorgeous hike to the “Guslitsky Reserve” .I am immensely grateful to our guide Yana for an incomparable tour of the sights of this region.Yana is a professional with a capital letter and an incredibly beautiful person Read more
About the tour: An amazing trip to a winter wonderland!
It was just magical; the trail goes through a tall ancient forest where you can't see the tops of the fir trees, everything around is snowy and white and there is incredible peace and quiet for several days.
The trail includes northern architecture in the form of charming wooden churches and chapels, where you feel like God and yourself in a completely different way. The beautiful blue skies on the ceilings of the temples are impressive and fascinating. The museum that preserves the originals of these painted skies is a must-see.
We spent the nights in warm huts, slept in private sleeping bags, and it was very comfortable. We spent the evenings playing games and fun hiking bikes))) The lack of communication adds advantages, you can completely distract yourself and be alone with yourself and nature!
I snowshoed for the first time, and I really liked it, it's not hard and comfortable, you won't fall into snowdrifts.
In general, there is a lot to tell, but it's better to see for yourself, and it's better to do it as part of an organized group, because such hard-to-reach places are not easy and expensive to get to on your own.

About the tour: I've always been very wary of winter hikes. It's not always comfortable to walk in spring and autumn, but it's the middle of winter here!

My imagination drew my imagination as freezing frosts piercing icy winds, snow to the waist, numb limbs and a frosty face. But I trusted Yana and Olya's organizational skills and it paid off. My imaginary scary, cold and painful trip turned out to be fabulously beautiful, fun, enjoyable and even comfortable as it can be in winter

About accommodation We had comfortable nights in national park guesthouses at the beginning and end of the track. We had the opportunity to wash ourselves, eat local cuisine in a cafe and sleep on white sheets) On the route, we lived in the huts of foresters of varying degrees of comfort Somewhere by the time we arrived, the stove had already been heated and water brought in, somewhere we had to go to the ice-hole ourselves and chop some firewood (which, by the way, it turned out to be quite fun), somewhere there was electricity, somewhere we spent a cozy evening by candlelight, but in all cases it was warmer in the huts than on street and safer

About the route The route was not difficult, but very picturesque The right decision was to go snowshoeing. I just fell in love with this type of equipment after this trip. Of course, snowshoes are not as fast as skis, but they are more stable and maneuverable. You hardly notice that you are walking through deep loose snow With the weather, we were lucky and there were practically no severe frosts, but even when it froze, we didn't feel it, like painful torture The main thing is to choose the right clothes (the principle of layering) and remember to insulate yourself at rest and take off excess during transitions

About the local population We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the park staff and local residents. It feels like people do what they love and are proud of their land. They offered help, gave useful advice and told many interesting stories about Kenozerye The local animal was also very friendly) The cat from the first hut just won us over with his insistence on chatting with us, and the next day he spent almost halfway through the route)
About nature Well, the cherry on the cake, what you should go hiking in Kenozerye in winter for is the fabulous beauty of this region. It fascinates with its cleanliness and charm It seems that the forest has frozen along with the lakes and sometimes jingles crystal branches in the wind The air is clear, frozen and filled with absolute silence And such clear and white snow, I'm like a city dweller, I haven't seen it for a long time. It's very interesting to study the traces of wild animals that passed by: hares, foxes and wild boars The beauty of nature resonates well with the architecture and history of Kenozero Here you can see unique churches, chapels and houses — architectural monuments of the Russian North. And local residents carefully preserve and pass on the secrets and technologies of various authentic crafts and crafts from generation to generation
Therefore, if you want to plunge into a quiet, clean, bright, frosty freshness in the midst of the slushy, polluted, stuffy and cramped city winter, I highly recommend going with Olya and Yana on a wonderful journey through Kenozero National Park. Beautiful nature is there, and the girls will provide a convenient transfer, delicious food, comfortable accommodation and fun company! Tested on myself)
