About the tour: Hi everyone! I would like to write a few words about the amazing tour we were lucky to take this summer

To begin with, what is the most important factor in every accompanied tour, especially a long and mountainous one? A guide, of course! Evgeny is an excellent guide to the Caucasus Mountains Punctuality, reliability, safe driving, good-naturedness, openness, understanding - that's all about him. You can be fully sure that your trip will be organized, as Evgeny has extensive experience and is always ready to adjust the route taking into account the group's wishes or offer something new that is not included in the program (IN THIS CASE, BE SURE TO AGREE - we did not regret it at all, since we visited Grozny and a very beautiful place in Dagestan - the Khunzakh Canyon) In addition, during the tour, You will have the opportunity to bungee jump, swim on glanders, ride a zipline and paraglider. Evgeny warns you in advance about such days and takes you to these places to make your wishes come true)) My recommendation is supboards in mountainous Dagestan! The clear, calm water of the reservoir, the mountains around the perimeter, the opportunity to jump into the water and swim in the hot heat is a pure thrill!

In addition to the excellent organization of the tour and the reliability of the guide, I would also like to note the trip itself. This is really a CAUCASIAN MAXIMUM! Each new day brought new experiences and landscapes Every day we saw mountains, were in the mountains and walked through the mountains We had lunch in the mountains, enjoyed watermelons and melons in the mountains, drank spring and meltwater in the mountains And this was an unforgettable experience that we protected ourselves. In turn, the great variety of landscapes blurred the eyes and always delighted us with its beauty

Accommodation As noted in the tour description, accommodation is really unique We lived in Nalchik for 6 days, went to the mountains every day. And it was very pleasant to return to the cozy and very comfortable apartments Evgeny has many good colleagues, and Takhir, the owner of the same apartment chain, was one of them. The apartment was chic with a quiet courtyard and an amazing ADAT cafe nearby, where you can have a delicious breakfast before leaving! Housing in mountainous Dagestan left the strongest impression. As to put it in words, I don't know, but it felt like you came to your Dagestan grandmother, who lives in a family home in the mountains. It was very cool!

Food Get ready for the variety of Caucasian cuisine (Balkarian, Ossetian, Dagestan) to capture your hearts For lunch, we most often stayed at local cafes in the middle of the route I would also like to note the shock of breakfasts and dinners in mountainous Dagestan, where the hosts will feed you delicious and VERY SATISFYING

What should I take with me? In addition to everything obvious that we always take when traveling, I'll mention a couple of things you can miss. Cash, comfortable sneakers with thick soles, a hat, sunscreen (skin burns very quickly in the mountains), a water bottle/flask (to fill it with clean mountain water if possible), a raincoat. I'll also add that you should bring along medications for the treatment of intestinal sores - POLYSORB/ENTEROSGEL, ENTEROFURIL, REGIDRON Just don't be afraid The thing is that the water quality in the urban part of Dagestan is poor, as Evgeny warns everyone in advance What Well, I hope the water attack doesn't catch you:) The most important thing to stock up on is, of course, GOOD MOOD! And be prepared that with the right attitude, the desire to relax and get new experiences, your mood will always stay 1000%!

About the tour: It was an incredibly busy tour! We were not lucky with the weather: in early May, rains covered Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia, and some of the most beautiful locations were hidden behind the mists. But as we moved east, in Ingushetia and Dagestan, the weather got better and we were not left without beautiful views. Majestic waterfalls, mountains, breathtaking cliffs, snow-covered Elbrus — all this remains in the very heart!
I would also like to note that our part of the group was incredibly lucky to have a guide. Evgeny masterfully drives in the mountains; my husband, who usually has trouble on serpentines, has never had motion sickness. Each location, even the small villages we passed by, was accompanied by interesting stories. Evgeny and Fedor have been living in the Caucasus all their lives, already in the 8th generation, and they know these places by heart. I would also like to note that Evgeny is well aware of Russian history, is well-read, has extensive life experience and is incredibly interesting to talk to him about everything in the world.
We will be happy to go back to Zhenya's tour again to see CBD and Ossetia with him in better weather.
I would like to recommend that those who are going on a tour bring trekking shoes or boots - they will greatly help you on descents and ascents in case of wet weather and more. About the tour: My friend and I took a tour through youtravel, from Evgeny. We really enjoyed it, Zhenya is a great guide to the Caucasus. We visited all the republics in 12 days, lived in Nalchik for a week, then moved to mountainous Dagestan and Derbent, the most ancient city in Russia, was the cherry on the cake.

The mountains are amazing as always. We learned a lot of historical facts about the Caucasus, tried all the national dishes, learned how to cook khychins, and felt completely safe because our guide served in the Ministry of Emergency Situations and was okay with him.

The tour program is very intense, the places where we stayed are quite comfortable, there are apartments in Nalchik and Derbent, and a couple of nights in Gorny Village and Sulak Canyon allowed us to plunge into the atmosphere of Dagestan.

We were very pleased with the trip, we recommend buying such a tour, after which you will definitely want to come back for more. And we will definitely come again.
