This is not just a tour of Turkey — it's a route after which you can actually say: I've seen the whole country.
In 7 days, you will live in several Turkeys at once: from fabulous Cappadocia with valleys and balloons at dawn; from the lakes and mountains of Central Anatolia to lavender fields and snow-white Pamukkale; and finally, the warm Aegean Sea and ideal beaches.
This is a journey without excesses: without exhausting journeys, without boring excursions for the sake of appearances and without the feeling of a race. A balance of nature, history, atmosphere and live experiences.
If you want not only to see Turkey, but to experience it, this tour is exactly what this tour is about.
This is the day of arrivals, without a program. There are no direct flights to Cappadocia, so you arrive in Istanbul with a direct flight for 1 night before your morning departure. The best time to arrive is at 8:00 p.m.
This tour is usually only part of a larger 10-day tour, so you can choose the advanced format and fly to Istanbul 3 days early by joining it, here is a link to the tour https://youtravel.me/tours/11824/
In the morning, we check out from the hotel in Istanbul, then an hour transfer, then an hour's flight, and upon arrival, an hour's transfer to the center of Cappadocia and check into a hotel.
Hiking
Today is dedicated to hiking. We will visit the 3 most beautiful valleys of Cappadocia
.We'll make it to one of them before lunch (the walk takes 1 hour).
And in the afternoon, the main hiking route of the tour to the Cappadocia Valleys awaits us, surrounded by bizarre geological formations and the way of life of local residents. You'll also see stunning early Christian churches hidden in the valleys
.In the evening, a picturesque sunset on the best observation deck in the Goreme area.
We will try to provide you with a balloon flight (paid option) on the very first morning in Cappadocia.
Underground City
Wecheck out of the hotel and ask ourselves: what are the underground cities of Cappadocia? These troglodyte cave cities date back to the Hittites and expanded over the centuries as various marauding armies crossed Central Anatolia in search of captives and looting.
There are about 100 underground cities in Cappadocia, and we will visit one of them. The Valley and the Monastery
A walk to a picturesque valley awaits us, one of those over which balloons fly in the morning. It is very pleasant to walk along the valley among churches from 1000 years ago, surrounded by pristine nature. We have
lunch here
, in the same valley. After lunch, we will visit an old Christian monastery.
On the way back to the hotel, we'll stop by a shop with all sorts of sweets and souvenirs.
We check out of the hotel and start our last day in Cappadocia.
Today we have a rich program and all kinds of observation decks in Cappadocia (including the Valley of Love). It all looks like a sculpted zoo created by nature. Top-notch Instagram photos in each location are guaranteed to you!
Valleys of monks and imagination
The Valley of the Monks is home to some of the brightest fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, with double and even triple stone roofs. This style is unique even to Cappadocia, and these fairy chimneys are called mushroom-shaped chimneys. We will see even more bizarre figures in the Valley of Imagination on the
same day.Open-air museum
Once home to one of the largest communities in the region, the open-air museum is an amazing cave town dotted with dwellings, religious and secular spaces.
Here we will see a cave mosque with a minaret, old examples of Cappadocian architecture and religious frescoes. Then it's lunch time.
Pottery town
Our next stop is a pottery town, home to many family-run pottery workshops. These famous potters make great souvenirs, and here you can buy everything from simple ashtrays and mugs to decorative plates and chess sets. We will visit one of the pottery shops and workshops, as well as the local ethnographic museum
located in an old Ottoman mansion.Transfer to Konya
We'll be free at 5:00 p.m., then a 3-hour drive to Konya and check into a hotel for 1 night
Greek town
Let's start our acquaintance with the lake district from a Greek town. The town was founded by the Greeks and still retains its pristine beauty and charm,
surrounded by quaint mountains.Turkey's third largest lake
continue our journey to the West and begin our acquaintance with the lakes of Turkey from a lake famous not only for its views of the mountains and the surface of the lake, but also for its ancient carved mosque.
Near the city, we'll also visit a Bronze Age Hittite sanctuary that has been standing on underground sources for 4,000 years. After the observation decks with stunning views of the lake, we go up to the National Park Pass and descend from the slope to the other side of the mountains.
Turkey's fourth largest lake
Another lake on our way to the West. The lake has different colors at different times of the day; it is surrounded by apple and peach orchards and is known for its crystal clear waters.
We have lunch in a town on the lake; you should definitely try lake bass or a local specialty - Isparta kebab.
We spend the night in Isparta province.
Turkish Provence
Today, about 95% of all Turkish lavender grows in this area. Lavender coffee and tea, ice cream, cookies, honey, lokum, a variety of cosmetics: from lavender water and soap to various creams, household chemicals and, of course, lavender oil. It is a cosmetic, therapeutic, and culinary remedy. You can find all this in stores and on Turkish Maldives layouts. Then we drive to the shore of the lake known as the Turkish Maldives
. No comments are needed. See photos of this crater lake, whose bottom is lined with marble.
You will be able to have lunch at a self-service restaurant right on the beach before leaving for Pamukkale.
Pamukkale and Hierapolis
Theso-called snow-white cotton castle travertines appeared on the mountainside as a result of the deposition of calcium carbonate from carbon dioxide water. You can take mineral baths all year round. In 1988, Pamukkale and the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Pamukkale is famous not only for its mineral springs and snow-white travertines. The ancient city of Hierapolis (Hierapolis or Hierapolis of Phrygia) is located nearby. The ruins are scattered over
a vast area. The exit from the complex is possible through the remains of the walls of the ancient city and its necropolis.
We will spend the night at a thermal hotel near Pamukkale.
Giant Canyon In the morning, for 3 hours, we will move south to the national park off the coast of the Aegean Sea, where we will visit the entrance to the canyon, which is 300 m deep and 18 km long, being one of the deepest in the world. It was formed as a result of the abrasion of rocks by running water over thousands of years. You and I will walk as far as possible into the canyon at this time of
year. Then an hour's drive and we'll swim in the wonderful Oludeniz (an hour from the airport), because the local beach is one of Turkey's top 3 beaches.
Transfer to the airport and flight back In the evening, you will be taken to Dalaman Airport, departing
around 22:00.
Those interested can continue their vacation at one of the resorts in Mugla province (Oludeniz, Fethiye)
- If the wind speed is more than 10 m/s, balloon flights are canceled (this is clear only a day before the flight), for this reason it is better to try to fly on the very first morning of your stay in Cappadocia - We travel on foot in the valleys of Cappadocia, and cover long distances by minibus or car (of course, you do not need to drive in passenger seats) - The program can rearrange order attractions between days or within a day due to changes in their working hours or weather conditions
- This is not trekking, but tours have hiking routes in nature for 1-2 hours each. There are steep climbs of about 1 km. Please consider this if you have any contraindications
.I'm going alone. Who am I going to spend the night with?
We live in a room for 2 people, sharing them by gender or inner sympathies.
Who's buying tickets?
You buy tickets yourself, and we select the flight options that are convenient for you and send you purchase instructions. Sometimes we call each other and buy tickets together. In general, we do our best to make sure you don't have problems buying tickets.
- You must have travel insurance with you that also covers Covid.
- Please have no more than 1 suitcase per person
- For cross-country walking, you need sneakers or hiking boots (but by no means flat); it is better to wear clothes that are not marked and comfortable for going up and down in the valleys
