Cappadocia is one of those rare places that should be visited at least once in a lifetime. This is a country of fairy tales, mysterious and enchanting. Here are some of the incredible sights waiting for you here: fairy chimneys, underground cities, hot air ballooning over this incredible landscape.
Regular tours are planned - come with us!
This is the day of arrivals, without a program. There are no direct flights to Cappadocia, so you arrive in Istanbul with a direct flight for 1 night before your morning departure. This tour is usually only part of a larger 7-day tour, so you can choose the advanced format and fly to Istanbul 3 days early by joining it, here is a link to
the tour https://youtravel.me/tours/6535In the morning, we check out from the hotel in Istanbul, then an hour transfer, then an hour's flight, and upon arrival, an hour's transfer to the center of Cappadocia and check into a hotel.
Hiking
Today is dedicated to hiking. We will visit the 3 most beautiful valleys of Cappadocia
.We'll make it to one of them before lunch (the walk takes 1 hour).
And in the afternoon, the main hiking route of the tour to the Cappadocia Valleys awaits us, surrounded by bizarre geological formations and the way of life of local residents. You'll also see stunning early Christian churches hidden in the valleys
.In the evening, a picturesque sunset on the best observation deck in the Goreme area.
We will try to provide you with a balloon flight (paid option) on the very first morning in Cappadocia.
Underground city
We check out of the hotel and ask ourselves: what are the underground cities of Cappadocia? These troglodyte cave cities date back to the Hittites and expanded over the centuries as various marauding armies crossed Central Anatolia in search of captives and looting.
There are about 100 underground cities in Cappadocia, and we will visit one of them.Canyon and monastery
We are waiting for a walk in a canyon formed by the river thousands of years ago. It is very pleasant to walk through the valley among vineyards, poplars and pistachio trees to the quiet sound of the rushing water, surrounded by rich wildlife
We'll have lunch right here in the canyon.
After lunch we will visit an old Christian monastery.
On the way back to the hotel, we'll stop by a shop with all sorts of sweets and souvenirs.
We check out of the hotel and start our last day in Cappadocia.
Today we have a rich program and all kinds of observation decks in Cappadocia (including the Valley of Love). It all looks like a sculpted zoo created by nature. Top-notch Instagram photos in each location are guaranteed to you!
Valleys of monks and imagination
The Valley of the Monks is home to some of the brightest fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, with double and even triple stone roofs. This style is unique even to Cappadocia, and these fairy chimneys are called mushroom-shaped chimneys. We will see even more bizarre figures in the Valley of Imagination on the
same day.Open-air museum
Once home to one of the largest communities in the region, the open-air museum is an amazing cave town dotted with dwellings, religious and secular spaces.
Here we will see a cave mosque with a minaret, old examples of Cappadocian architecture and religious frescoes. Then it's lunch time.
Pottery town
Our next stop is a pottery town, home to many family-run pottery workshops. These famous potters make great souvenirs, and here you can buy everything from simple ashtrays and mugs to decorative plates and chess sets. We will visit one of the pottery shops and workshops, as well as the local ethnographic museum
located in an old Ottoman mansion.Transfer to the airport
In the evening, transfer to Kayseri Airport and fly home, see flights around 20:00
But if you wish, you can continue the tour and finish at sea in 3 days:

- If the wind speed is more than 10 km/h, balloon flights are canceled (this is clear only a day before the flight), for this reason it is better to try to fly the very first morning of your stay in Cappadocia - We travel on foot in the valleys of Cappadocia and sometimes in Istanbul, and we cover long distances by minibus or car (of course, you don't need to drive) - The program allows you to travel arranging the order of attractions between days or within a day due to changes in their opening hours or weather conditions
- This is not trekking, but tours have hiking routes in nature for 1-2 hours each. There are steep climbs of about 1 km. Please consider this if you have any contraindications.
I'm going alone. Who am I going to spend the night with?
We live in a room for 2 people, sharing them by gender or inner sympathies.
Who's buying tickets?
You buy tickets yourself, and we select the flight options that are convenient for you and send you purchase instructions. Sometimes we call each other and buy tickets together. In general, we do our best to make sure you don't have problems buying tickets.
- You must have travel insurance with you that also covers Covid.
- Please have no more than 1 suitcase per person
- For cross-country walking, you need sneakers or hiking boots (but by no means flat); it is better to wear clothes that are not marked and comfortable for going up and down in the valleys
