On the far shores: The Lights, Teriberka, Russian Lapland

About the tour: My sister and I were in Murmansk. This is not our first trip with YOUNTREVELME. The tour was adapted for themselves; the program included only the hunt for lights and Teriberka, excluding Lapland. Alexander was the accompanying guide to Teriberka and the Lights. A small group of 6 people traveled to Teriberka in a jeep. The nature and scenery are amazing. These views and spaces alone fully pay off the tour in terms of emotions and impressions. The group was diverse and the guide lacked experience in organizing our journey: some are lagging behind, others are fleeing... On my trip to Teriberka (for me personally), the guide didn't have enough information about places; he answered questions rather than tell me something proactively...
We visited many locations in Teriberka, even more than stated in the program. In general, we were satisfied with this day and the trip and enjoyed the beauty, but we still had the feeling that we could have made the trip even cooler and more exciting.
But the hunt for the glow was disappointing... First of all, we were brought together with a group of Chinese people and a few others who wanted to join us. A trip in a multilingual group is a pain for both sightseers and guides. Our team, which is not very close-knit as it is, has completely collapsed. Therefore, I give the trip a rating of 4. We saw the glow, but WOW we didn't get any emotions from watching him and the very glow in the sky. Disappointment with reality compared to expectations with the pictures formed on the Internet... It was a discovery for me that the live glow was much more faded and unsightly than in the photos. At certain points, the only way to understand that you were seeing a glow, and not a strip of smoke from a distant fire, was through a camera lens. It's disappointing that expectations and reality do not coincide, but this is not the organizers' fault — it's nature and our misconceptions...
I recommend the tour and the organizer, but with the proviso that the program will be standard “without a request” for a unique and exclusive experience. Read more

About the tour: A great and very interesting tour with lots of impressions. The trip is intense, varied and energizing.
Roman and the rest of the guides are very nice people who strive to provide maximum comfort for travelers.
Even with extreme cold and wind, the trip was very warm.
Even during the polar night, the trip was very bright.
It's definitely worth the money. Definitely an unforgettable experience and beautiful souvenir photos.
We would like to thank Roman and his team from the bottom of our hearts for their work and the excellent result!

About the tour: Our small and definitely unforgettable adventure in Murmansk and Teriberka ended on January 6.
First, a little bit about organizing the tour itself. But on day 1, it started snowing in Murmansk and the evening trip for the lights was canceled (free time) .On day 2, we visited all planned locations. We were lucky Teriberka was open.I think the beauty of this place can be appreciated in spring and autumn.But not in winter - 25. We weren't lucky enough to see whales. But we were on this trip aiming to see the lights, and everything else was secondary.
The weather is unpredictable, but thanks to our prayers and, of course, Roman's professionalism, we were lucky to see the glow in all its glory! Thanks for initiating yourself to the Glow Hunters 💫🔥☄ .It was an incredible first experience and I can confidently say it won't be the last.Magic exists! How can there be any doubt when you see with your own eyes the incredibly fabulous beauty of this phenomenon, which easily delights you, taking you to the very top. All the most desirable things always come unexpectedly.
Thanks again to the organizers of the tour: Roman and Svetlana, as well as our guide Oleg for their interesting stories and love for such a harsh land, as well as to those who shared the emotions of these days with us! We became much richer after the tour because the most valuable thing in our lives is impressions!!! Read more
