When I was a kid and was going to first grade, my dad bought a Political Map of the World and hung it above my bed, Needless to say, I learned it all the way. In high school it even played a cruel joke as it turned out that I knew geography better than anyone else and even the geography teacher. The knowledge from my childhood also helped me get my first job. It was an agency selling airline tickets, where at the interview I corrected the director, who made a couple of mistakes and tried to "drive" me around the countries and capitals.
In more than 20 years of travelling around the world and working in different fields of international tourism, I have a huge experience, which is literally bursting out. I can, of course, go to teach in a specialized university, but let the "dummies" have a better chance to learn from life.
So I decided to share my experience and knowledge with those to whom it is really interesting. That is why for the last few years I organize trips that are usually called "author's trips". Although many people are fed up with the term, I can't find a better definition.
What you will find in my travels:
- I love comfort. I do not save on transport, time, and accommodation. If I cannot guide the excursion myself due to my meager knowledge of the matter, I do not neglect a local experienced guide. We don't sleep "under a bench", we don't eat on the go and we don't run about the objects 20 hours a day.
- I love it when it tastes good and am happy to share it. If a destination is somehow spotted on the wine list, I'm happy to include tastings or visits to wineries.
- I like interesting stories and I don't like encyclopedic information: in what year was the temple built, in what year was it destroyed, in what year was it rebuilt - you can find all that on the Internet. But an interesting history often comes in handy.
Join us, it will be interesting!
