My name is Julia. I'm a specialist in DNA genealogy, working with DNA data on the origins of peoples. I've been leading hiking routes across Armenia for over four years.
I started with single-day hikes, which I still guide regularly; in 2024, my partner Evgeny and I moved on to multi-day author-led routes and have run three commercial tours.
We work as a pair with a clear division of responsibilities: I handle the route concept and planning, working with the group, and logistics; Evgeny takes care of the trail, technique, and safety on difficult sections.
We hike the mountain and foothill regions of Armenia — the Geghama Range, Dilijan, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and the area around Aragats. We develop our routes ourselves, scouting them out and moving away fr om standard trails toward less-travelled ones, wh ere natural beauty meets cultural heritage.
Our two priorities are safety (assessing participants' fitness, readiness for unexpected situations, a valid first-aid certification) and attentiveness to people of different levels — we make sure no one ever feels out of place. I regularly hike and run in the mountains myself, so I assess both the route and the person from real experience, not in the abstract.
All the challenges await the traveller only on the trail — and with us, they're absolutely surmountable. Off the trail, full comfort and rest await: carefully chosen hotels, tried-and-tested food, everything top-notch! That's our advantage — even those accustomed to comfort will feel at home with us. Our hikes are for adults — from beginners to seasoned walkers — who want to see the country on foot and who value movement, adventure, and good company.
