About Me
My name is Pavel — or Paveli, as I’m called in Finnish.
I’m a travel creator, guide, small-group trip organizer, and someone who loves discovering places through people, atmosphere, nature, and real-life experiences.
Since 2016, I’ve been organizing and personally leading trips around Karelia. Today, I also bring together small groups for journeys to different parts of the world — fr om Africa to Latin America and beyond — places wh ere I want people not simply to tick another destination off their map, but to truly experience the country.
My philosophy is simple: a great journey isn’t about how many sights you can see in one day. It’s about becoming part of a story yourself.
Karelia — My Home Ground
Karelia is my home territory, and I’ve spent many years showing it to travelers.
I know the popular routes, but I’m even more drawn to the hidden places where tour buses rarely go.
In 2025, I opened a guest accommodation in Martial Waters, right next to Russia’s first mineral springs.
It’s a place where you can slow down, breathe, and then head out with me to explore Karelia — its lakes and cliffs, forest roads, history, local food, legends, and those special corners you won’t often find in guidebooks.
And Now — Kenya
For a long time, I’ve wanted to create journeys where people don’t simply look at a country through a bus window, but actually immerse themselves in its rhythm.
That’s why I organize small-group trips to Kenya.
This is not a classic package tour.
It’s seven days of adventure and real African vibes, shared with a small group of people who are looking for experiences, connection, freedom, and a little bit of adventure.
We bring together several completely different sides of Kenya:
? The Indian Ocean — sunshine, warm water, white beaches, and plenty of time to simply slow down and enjoy the coast.
? Safari — getting close to Africa’s incredible wildlife and seeing animals in their natural environment.
? Local life — villages, markets, roads, music, food, conversations, and meeting the people who make Kenya what it is.
? African rhythms and atmosphere — music, dancing, evening gatherings, local stories, and the kind of energy that simply cannot be captured in photographs.
? Ocean adventures — active experiences and getting closer to coastal life, including traditional fishing experiences where permitted by local rules.
And, of course, there is plenty of room for spontaneity.
Because some of the best moments of a journey begin where the itinerary ends.
Why a Small Group?
I prefer traveling in groups of around 3–6 people.
It makes it easier to get to know each other, keep a sense of freedom, and have something that is often missing fr om large group tours — real conversation and the flexibility to adapt the journey along the way.
For me, the ideal outcome is that after seven days we don’t simply return home as tourists who have “seen Kenya”.
We return as a small group of people who share stories, jokes, unexpected moments, and memories.
What I Bring to the Journey
I’m an engineer by profession and education, a graduate of law school, and I’ve also worked in court.
My professional life involves design and managing complex projects.
Perhaps that’s why I enjoy journeys wh ere everything needs to be thought through: routes, logistics, safety, accommodation, transportation, and backup plans.
But I have absolutely no desire to turn a holiday into a military operation.
The plan should be reliable. The journey itself should stay alive.
So I prepare every trip carefully in advance, while leaving enough space for spontaneous encounters, unexpected discoveries, and those moments that simply cannot be written into an itinerary.
Who Are These Journeys For?
For people who want more than simply visiting a country.
For those who:
— enjoy small groups;
— value genuine conversation and human connection;
— want to meet local people and experience local culture;
— love nature, the ocean, and adventure;
— are willing to step outside the standard tourist route;
— want memorable experiences while still appreciating comfort and thoughtful organization.
If you don’t just want to visit Kenya, but want to spend seven days feeling its rhythm — the smell of the ocean, the heat, African music, wild nature, local life, and the warmth of its people — perhaps we’re meant to travel together.
I organize small groups and personally accompany the journeys.
Karelia. Kenya. And other places worth coming back to.
Let’s travel together.
