About the tour: Good afternoon! We traveled to Sri Lanka as part of the Expedition.
The expedition to Sri Lanka is a journey to a fairyland where every day was different, where landscapes, colors and sounds were indescribably beautiful.
We spent the first morning when we arrived in Colombo. The city itself did not impress me, although it is certainly original.
We went on.
A morning on the river is something indescribable. Tears of delight came from the surprise of what I saw. The view of the yellow river with its rapids is amazing in itself, but when there's also a herd of elephants and elephants... no, it's beyond words. And I personally don't need to touch, pet or feed them; I just need to see them alive, majestic, not in a hurry and somehow noble.
It is not so important for me where to spend the night (but preferably a decent one) and what to eat (but preferably delicious), so I did not focus on this. The local food... well, what can I say... exotic, and I enjoyed trying it; some liked or disliked. The next place we stopped finally put me into a kind of trance; there were no such pictures in my head... lotuses, a temple, colors, landscapes, architecture, people, but sounds! my imagination did not imagine this.
And this has been the case for five or six days. Every day and every place was extraordinary: the city in the Old English style with centuries-old trees, and the tea fields, and the ascent to Mount Adam... And a Buddhist temple, an evening with a monk, a ritual of wish...
It's like a dream and I want to see it again. My memories and impressions are enough for a whole book.
It was easy and pleasant for me to be with you (Lena and Igor); everyone could be themselves. You are so calm and restrained on the one hand and desperate adventurers ready to jump headlong on the other; you will definitely not be bored and dull.
