One day, completely unaware of where this would lead, I discovered the joy of sailing. It was in the winter in northern Norway. I was so inspired by the world of romance and adventure that without realizing it, I took the path that led me here.

I am an engineer by profession, worked both in a factory and at a large technological company, but now I want to share with you the freedom and offer together to open new horizons, to blaze trails in unexplored places and to experience life in its pleasant, joyful and exciting manifestations.

Now we are exploring the Russian north - the Arkhangelsk region. Personally for me it was a revelation that it is NOT cold in the north - you can and should bathe in the lakes and rivers in the summer, and the northern tan doesn't wash off for months. I have to admit that I was even a little disappointed by how friendly the area was and that I didn't have to chew every second, meter, or joule out of life when I traveled.

We have traveled the Northern Dvina both ways from Arkhangelsk, hiked the Mezen River (a very authentic northern outback), and enlightened in Kenozersky National Park - all under sail!
