Having traveled it on foot, discovering all its secrets and legends over the years, we decided to create a community that will take tourism to a new level. Wondering where else on the planet you could see ice caps, soak in hot springs, or walk under an active volcano in search of hidden waterfalls and canyons? Where else can you stay up all night hunting for the magical Northern Lights?
Over the years of friendship with Iceland, we began to understand it as locals. And we will teach you, we promise.

Kyrgyzstan: Lakes, Yurts and Trekking in Tien-Shan

About the tour: The advantage of this tour is a great opportunity to get to Altyn-Arashan and enjoy the beauty of nature, as well as meet interesting people.
The trip includes meals in Barskoon and Altyn-Arashan, in Altyn-Arashan we had a cook who introduced us to the local cuisine. Outside of these places, at your own expense.
Main minuses:
1. Poorly designed itinerary - hours spent in vain, and for some even whole days.
2. poor coordination - all the time we had to ask: "and what's next? and what time breakfast? what are we doing tomorrow? Was not given a clear schedule of the trip. And on the part of the tour organizer was a 19-year-old girl tour leader, who by virtue of age could not cope with their tasks.
(3) The lack of separation of the group on the levels of training and the lack of a second guide. Because of that the routes were shortened.
4. the discrepancy between the living conditions and the cost of the trip.
5. Unexpected expenses.
And now more in detail:
The first day after a long flight expected a 6 hour drive to Barskoon. We could have spent the night in Bishkek; the journey was very difficult for everyone.
In Barskoon we had to live in comfortable tent houses - the only comfortable conditions of the whole trip.
The Barskoon part can be considered the most successful. There was a small outing to the waterfalls, and after lunch there was the Issyk-Kul lake, where it was possible to have a swim for those who wished, and then we went to the canyons "Fairy Tale". We could have allotted more time to the canyons, but the tour guide was rushing somewhere. And instead of taking a quiet walk in the canyon, everyone was taken to a cafe for tea, where we wasted a couple of hours, instead of enjoying the views of the "Fairy Tale".
The next day was a drive from Barskoon to Altyn-Arashan - it was the most wasted day. The intermediate stop was in Karakol, from the guide and tour leader was not informed about the amount of time we would stay there, as it turned out it was 3 hours. During this time the guide and the cook were busy making purchases of provisions - it was also possible to decide in advance whether to make an order or to arrange food delivery. By evening we have arrived in Altyn-Arashan, where we have been reassured, that there were not enough yurts for all, and someone would have to sleep in four instead of two.
The yurts themselves were not heated, and we had not been informed about this in advance. It would have been better to bring sleeping bags, because it was cold to sleep in the yurts. There was also a small house, which of course accommodated an organizational party and a couple of other people. There was a fireplace in the house, but there was no wood for it, they have told: "while you walk, collect fire wood". And you can buy firewood from the locals, and the guys did it for their own money.
In Altyn-Arashan it was necessary to spend 5 nights, that is too much, taking into account, that it was necessary to think over what to do independently.
On the next day there was a micro excursion to the springs, after which we had a whole day of free time. On the next day it was a sortie to the lake, but the guide didn't lead us to the lake, because two from the group didn't manage to go there, made a break for lunch, and the guide just showed us where to go, so, we got to the lake by ourselves. The next day was full of doing nothing. But as we independently learned, that there is a lake Ala Kul (which for some reason is in the photos of the tour, but no one told us about it), a part of the group went there, having taken the horses from the locals. And that was the best part of the trip.
On the way to Bishkek on the day of departure, we stopped at the museum, which was of no interest to us, and then we were told: "pass the money for the entrance". And to warn about it in advance apparently was not a fate.
After the lack of civilization in Bishkek the worst hotel that could be found awaited us. It was smoky, with broken toilets, sinks, and doors.
At the end we were expecting a farewell dinner, which was at our own expense, which was told in advance. But for some reason the tour guides ordered appetizers "for everyone" that no one ate, but we had to pay for them.

Undoubtedly it is worth to go to Kyrgyzstan for the sake of the stunning nature, but we cannot recommend this organizer for this trip.

About the tour: In short, it was an organizational failure. Failure. In more detail, welcome to the "multibooks". I will try to be as objective as possible, and everyone will draw his own conclusions (and, I hope, first of all, travel-expert). Alarming calls began to come even at the initial stage of correspondence, before the departure: for example, the site of the company was declared maximum number of participants as 15. Later it was increased to 20. When I asked how many people there were no one could give me any answers explaining that it was impossible to get an Australian visa (also a strange story, in my opinion, to book a tour without a visa, but never mind, perhaps, in Ukraine there are nuances of visa problems). In total 24 (!) people went. 15 и 24. Do you feel the difference? Next. In the general chat created a voting for the celebration of the new year. Most voted for Option 1. But the tour leader showed up and categorically stated that the best option - is 2, nothing to discuss and pass the money but hurry up. Eh... then why was there a need to vote? and to clarify what is the best option 2? maybe someone has food preferences/restrictions? nothing was done and even if the option 2 was objectively better, you could have asked the group, and what they think about it. As a result, I wrote to the restaurant myself and asked for a menu and program. In parallel with the New Year in a chat about the hotels, as many of the tour participants arrived before the official start of the program, they wanted to book a room in the same hotel, where the group will start. I was promised the name of the hotel in a private correspondence, but was not told - I did not wait and press the organizers (does the participant should press the organizers?)) and booked a hotel that I chose myself. The rest of the group still got the name and bought a room in it. But again, a tour leader showed up and also unquestioningly announced that the hotel is changing. The fact that the cancellation for individuals may be paid, no one was confused. At this point, one of the chat participants voiced general concerns about the quality of the organization, demanded money back and was removed from the correspondence )) wise man from Germany, who could be the 25th in the group ) Russians and Ukrainians remained in the chat waiting ... That everything will work out) But no! Everyone knows about the strongest fires in Australia, which began in autumn 2019. I asked questions about option B in case the most smoky areas on our route. I was assured that option B is always there and nothing like that would happen. So we went to the Blue Mountains National Park... The smog was horrible, it was hard to breathe, and we couldn't see any mountains, neither Blue Mountains, nor any others. It was 40 degrees and we were breathing it all in, getting drops in our eyes and queuing up to go for a ride on a tram and something else equally uselessly touristy... so there you go, plan B. Then it was Tasmania and New Year's Eve. The hotel was booked on the outskirts, without wifi (to leave people unconnected on New Year's Eve is a cool idea), without breakfasts (or rather, breakfast could be ordered at my expense - about 20-30 AUD, but the kitchen and waiters were not warned and ready for so many tourists) and with double beds (although twins were negotiated). Since the hotel was located far away, we had... At 10 minutes! Because then 1.5 hours we drove to the pier, where the boat was to depart. We drove and were late and the group members (not the guides) negotiated with the boat to wait for us (and with it the honorable public who had also bought a place to celebrate the coming 2020 and had to idle due to our tardiness). Needless to say, that it took us 1.5 hours to get back to the hotel too... Well and then approximately all in this spirit: the buses were not served in time, dirty, without armrests and pockets on the seats. The driver in Melbourne was a deep elder, who managed to drive under the transport height limiter on the way to the airport and swept away either half of the roof or the bottom. We walked to the airport... In parallel with all this trash girls - employees of the office travel-expert - very politely in the general chat, as well as in private correspondence, persistently asked the size of clothing for a commemorative T-shirt, as if nothing more important than that. When I asked for a women's S t-shirt I got a men's L ))) As for Australia itself: it's beautiful, but the program is not elaborate and worked out. People who go this far do not need zoos with aviaries and Turkish/Thai tricks of "feeding crocodiles"... to shift the responsibility only to the Australian side is unethical, as tourists do not care about the internal organizational aspects of the company - we pay you guys. Tour leader Anton is an interesting man, an interlocutor, and a professional photographer, who kindly allowed posting his photos taken during the trip. And he tried to save the situation, but he got involved too late. My attitude towards the program was primarily one of trick-or-treating. But the trick had failed. And he himself had a hard time - there is no doubt (worth mentioning is a message in the wrong chat room with not very flattering characteristic of our group). An undoubted plus of the trip - the tour participants. We had a super Russian-Ukrainian mix. I must say, a rare tolerant, loyal and patient. And it is worthwhile to go to Australia, but think carefully, where exactly, with whom and for how much. Read more

Exclusive Namibia on jeeps with high comfort

About the tour: "When the sun falls into the night, you can hear the stars singing here". That is exactly what the Bushmen, the ancient representatives of humankind, said of their native Namibian land. Indeed, nowhere else had I seen such a deep blue-black night sky, against which the twinkling stars were like pearls. And they were so close to the horizon that they seemed to lie on the ground.
One ray of sunlight is enough to chase away all the shadows, and the hot day comes over the desert again. At dawn, the curved ridges of the dunes draw a sharp line between light and shadow. Nothing disturbs the perfect geometry of their forms, and the wind lines the slopes with its honed lines, bending them in geometric parabolas.
I never thought that desert could so captivate with its beauty. Its purple sands stretch all along the Atlantic coast across the country. An endless sea of sand dunes stretches inland for tens of kilometres, to the dried-out heart of the Namib Desert. It is impossible not to fall in love in a moment.
Incredible country! So many unimaginable contrasts have been collected in it that it would be a huge mistake to think that Namibia is just about a desert. It is a sparsely populated corner of the planet where nature has preserved its untouched pristine charm. It is beautiful Martian landscapes, the second largest canyon in the world, harsh beauty of the Skeleton Coast, wrecks of sunken ships thrown on the shore, towns drowned in a blizzard of sandstorms and diamond mines, and of course, preserved its traditions and customs original African tribe Himba, whom I waited to meet with particular fervour. In Namibia, even the most experienced traveller will find something to their liking.
Namibia is also about the world of wildlife. At the entrance to Etosha National Park, you will be greeted with silence and you can immediately feel the uniqueness of the local area. Rare thickets of bushes and trees, low growths of grass, no birdsongs and no animals in sight. But despite the desolate landscapes with the dusty ground trembling with heat, now and then herds of wild animals appear on the horizon like mirages, which fill the breathless natural space of the park in a moment.
During the dry season, watering places concentrate all the light of the African savannah around them. There's a lot to see here! These include giraffes strolling leisurely through acacia trees and herds of zebras and antelopes crossing the road. These lions resting in the shadow of the midday heat, crocodiles, oryx, buffalo, jackals, cheetahs and elephants. This is not the full list of species you are fortunate enough to see here. The best of times to contemplate the world of wildlife.
We had an incredible adventure filled with emotions and highlights! But perhaps the biggest and endless gratitude for the warmth and comfort of the company of friends. Well, can a trip be wonderful without those with whom we can share the joy of the moments? My inner child is happy!
