About the tour: Great horse riding tour! Probably one of the best! A rich, interesting, well-chosen route to beautiful places with gorgeous views. An excellent guide, Ismail, special thanks to him!
At the same time, the trip is quite difficult, in some places extreme, with steep ascents and descents, both on horseback and on foot. It requires participants to be in good physical shape and have experience in horse riding or at least horse riding.
(I would also add high trekking boots and leggings to the list of things. As well as replaceable parking shoes (EVA galoshes or lightweight sneakers).

About the tour: Overall impression: very good Horseback riding: very bad
To begin with, this type of tour is ideal for me — high activity, like hiking, but also comfortable hotel accommodation, with all the delights of civilization so as not to look like a stray dog by the end of the vacation
I arrived in Min Vody one day before the tour started to rest after the flight. Actually, this was not necessary, because the first day of the tour takes almost all the transfer to the hotel in Arkhyz, dinner and free time are enough to sort things out and relax My tour guys and I even took a walk to the nearest waterfalls
There were only 4 of us in the group: me, a couple from Moscow, and a strange guy from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Our guide Murat said that we would start with easy routes that would get a little more complicated every day. I'll put my impressions of the complexity of the routes on a scale from 1 to 5
The route of the 2nd day (Sofia waterfalls) was about 2.5-3
The 3rd day route (Seven Color Lake) was 3.5-4, mainly due to its long length, namely, the difficult section was only at the end, on the ascent to the lake
The 4th day route (Sofia Lakes) was 5 times difficult, but when we were already climbing the last slope in front of the lake itself, it started raining, so it felt like 7 (yes, out of five) It was a really difficult day, and two guys didn't even go to the Dukka Lakes the next day, stayed at the hotel, get away from this experience. I also want to note that the guide didn't even go to the Dukka Lakes every morning He sent us a list of things to take with us via WhatsApp chat, and every day the list looked the same, apart from the fact that we had to bring our A passport with us on the third day I would definitely tell you to bring warm clothes with me on the fourth day, as it was still snowing on the peaks and it was incredibly cold. In general, we later heard reviews that “normal” people were being dissuaded from this route. Although maybe if we were lucky with the weather, the impressions would not have been so difficult, in August photos from Lake Sofia, flowers were growing rapidly instead of snow. I think everything It depends on your physical fitness, this tour is my first mountain trekking experience, but I go to the gym a couple of times a week, so the workload was feasible
The 5th day route was 3-4 times long, it didn't feel very long, but almost always upward. In previous days, the pattern was this: go to the lakes and get up in the sun, get up with rain and wind It was the first day we were lucky. I was able to swim in two lakes (if diving quickly and jumping ashore count as swimming)
The 6th day route (Lake Bezdonnoye) was easy, I can set it to 0.5, and then it was a stretch People on ATVs passed by us there; we could get almost to the lake by car. We sat for an hour and went back. Probably, we would like some more interesting route that day
And finally, the 7th day, which I'll try to describe without a mat. The first part — rafting — everything was fine here, we were given costumes, we changed clothes in the changing rooms, left our things (the changing rooms are closing, but I actually left my backpack just in the equipment room, under the camera) and went to the start of the route The water was icy, but the route itself was quite easy, we were told that the maximum extreme here was in May Then we had lunch at our hotel.
But there was a horse ride in the afternoon, which I was really looking forward to. I had already ridden horses several times. Two months before Arkhyz I rode a horse in Dagestan (also in the mountains), and it was so wonderful that after the morning walk I signed up again, for the evening. I also galloped several times for the first time And I was really looking forward to these amazing emotions again Empty Dreams... First, Moody Rath warned me not to gallop, which was very frustrating, but I just didn't know what would happen next
They took our horses out one by one, not really helping us to climb them, without adjusting the tracks (on which the stirrups rest), and I also consider it important to mention the lack of helmets. All this I write is compared to a walk in Dagestan, where we were also in the mountains, but we were very attentive, helped, and took briefing and safety seriously Although there were 4 times as many of us there.
In general, photos are even better without a helmet, as long as it doesn't pierce our heads. We strolled around the village for a while and started climbing the mountain On horseback Along a narrow path above the stream Imagine a steep climb (in my opinion, it would be difficult to walk here even), a path full of cobblestones where horses constantly slip, and by a miracle they don't fly into the stream that's on the cliff on the left. It seems extreme enough to get off and go But we were still holding on. To be honest, it was hoped that this nightmare would end soon and we would finally go along a normal road Not in the sense of a highway, but in the sense of a road suitable for such activities But it got even worse — the path moved slightly away from the stream, and trees appeared on both sides. At any moment, branches could pierce my eyes, broken branches could pierce my stomach, or the horse could print me into the tree, tripping on another cobblestone. And so it happened Visually, the injury was not very serious, but the pain was hard to endure. I'm still very happy that this walk happened at the end of the tour, not at the beginning, because then I wouldn't have been able to complete half of the walking routes exactly
In addition to me, two guys were also outraged by this route; another guy got scratches (arms and stomach)
After another hit, swearing at the whole of Arkhyz, I got off my horse and went to the hotel. It turns out that at that time we hadn't even crossed the halfway point, and the weight was no better the rest of the journey (I was told this from the escort's words) I think that this route should never be used for horse riding And I recommend everyone to specify exactly where you will be taken to “ride” horses When We walked to the nearby waterfalls on the first day, we saw that people were riding in quite normal places. Unfortunately, for some reason we decided to arrange entertainment like this” die or die” This is the only really bad experience on the tour for me, and unfortunately it really ruined the overall experience
Now general recommendations, comments, thanks
I don't have trekking poles, I was really worried about it, but in the end I didn't rent them, and I was quite comfortable. The girl from our tour rented sticks, it was much easier for her with them Everything is individual
I would also like to note that we were driven in a loaf every day, but we would like to ride in an open jeep at least once, of which there are so many. And take your aux with you so you could play your own music
I would like to thank Murat for the incredibly delicious coffee he brewed for us during the break. At the same time, in everyday life I am indifferent to coffee and rarely drink it, but I drank it every day on this tour
Also, a few words about the hotel The room is comfortable, there is everything you need, you can see the mountains from the window, cleaning is daily Thanks to Marina for her warmth and hospitality, thanks to Lila for the delicious food, especially pancakes for breakfast!

About the tour: Recently, I had the honor to experience incredible adventures in the North Caucasus that left lasting impressions for a lifetime. This tour included not only horse riding along picturesque mountain trails, but also extreme off-road jeeping, as well as excursions to villages, which allowed you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of adventure and adrenaline.

The first thing that amazed me was the incredibly beautiful scenery of the North Caucasus. Mountain peaks covered with snow, dense forests, turbulent rivers and crystal clear lakes all create a unique atmosphere that is difficult to describe in words. Horse riding made it possible to enjoy this beauty from a special height, as well as to feel at one with nature.

Jeeping in the North Caucasus is a different story. Driving powerful cars, we overcame the most difficult off-road sections, climbing to mountain peaks, where we had stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. This undoubtedly brought a lot of adrenaline and fun, and it was also informative, as our drivers tried to tell us as much as possible not only about the mountains, but also about the traditions of the KCR.

The tour organizers have designed the route so that we can enjoy not only amazing views and adrenaline, but also get acquainted with the culture and traditions of local people. We passed through many mountain villages and saw the oldest of them. We also visited several historical monuments, which added an educational aspect to our trip.
I would like to note the high level of organization of the tour. The instructors and drivers were professionals in their field who were always ready to help and answer any questions. The transport was prepared for the most difficult conditions, and the horses were well-groomed and trained for hiking.

In conclusion, I would like to say that a trip to the North Caucasus is a real gift for those who love adventure, the beauty of nature and the spirit of adventurism. If you have not been to the North Caucasus yet or are just planning your trip, start with this tour, where you will not need special physical training or equipment, and you will not regret your choice!

About the tour: I have loved horses since childhood, so I was attracted to Dzhigitovka right away! Stay in a modern hotel with all amenities, with a stunning balcony and mountain views. The hotel is secluded and near the road (without active traffic), so it is quiet and peaceful. They feed divinely! tasty, hearty, appetizing! The cafe is very atmospheric. Thanks to Alexander for his service and attention:)! On site you can communicate with rabbits, goats, horses, dogs, cats, etc.) Horses... there are no words, communication with these animals cannot be described in words, you need to feel it. At the bottom of the day, test trips for 2-3 hours and two days of active travel, 6-8 hours in the saddle (be mentally and physically ready, ahah)) I did not regret: mountains, views, rocks, in sunny weather we discovered Elbrus, the friendliness and hospitality of the shepherds (they gave us tea when they froze and wandered in the fog, talked), animals - it's worth it, to relax your thoughts and try yourself! Two days were sightseeing: Dombay was great, but Arkhyz was really boring, we just drove all day in the car... The guide doesn't say much, reluctantly, although it feels like he has potential. The driver who took me to the airport told me more in 3 hours than our guide did in all time. Even during the first two test rides on horseback, there is plenty of free time. It is better to figure out in advance what to do, for example, take a taxi to nearby attractions. Otherwise, you are left to yourself and you don't know what to do, but you don't want to sit in the room.
Even after the transfer, I thought that only our group of travelers would be pickup/taken to the airport, but it turned out that different participants from different tours were collecting and taking them to the airport. Therefore, when I arrived, I had to wait 2.5 hours and then 3 hours on the road.
I took off one star just for organizing, the whole tour is great! There is and is a lot to compare experience with. Thank you so much!!

Travel expert's answer: Polina, thank you for your review and for appreciating the infrastructure and living conditions at the Aydin El tourist complex. Thank you for your feedback on the guide's work; we have already worked with him to eliminate the shortcomings during the tours. We regret that you had to wait at the airport; the tour price includes a group transfer, which means that the group's waiting time for a group to gather does not exceed 2.5 hours. We will be glad to see you again on other trips to the Caucasus with us! Read more
