Full tour of Svaneti

About the tour: I was lucky that my originally planned tour of Georgia was canceled, and I took this 4-day tour in the company of beautiful Rita and Dasha, Svaneti experts. Even before my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the fact that they supported me with booking transport, extra nights at the hotel, met me at the bus after a tedious transfer, and answered questions in detail. I was also very impressed by the fact that despite the incomplete recruitment of the group, the tour was originally announced with a guarantee of arrival and, despite the small number of participants, was fully carried out!
I really liked the accommodation: a detached house with a wonderful view of the mountains, far from noisy cafes, but close to the center of Mestia. This kind of living in a house with a common breakfast and leisure area initially makes you feel like you're at home.
The program is quite extensive, but we always had time for lunch, a short break or additional activities like local museums. Everything was also very convenient, the driver by car picks up the tour participants from the hotel itself and then brings them back, you only have to walk directly on the routes themselves, accompanied and supported by guides. The trekking sessions themselves (they were 2 days out of 4) are not physically very difficult for an ordinary person and, in principle, can be completed by both pensioners and children.
Special thanks to the girls for the delicious and varied breakfasts, it was sometimes even better than Georgian food in restaurants!
And most importantly, there was a wonderful atmosphere of cordiality and hospitality around me, during these days we became friends, talked a lot and laughed. Now I know that Svaneti is beautiful not only for its breathtaking landscapes, but also for its wonderful people who try to show it in all its glory! Read more
