As a student he began to lead a tourist team of students of the Russian State Hydrometeorological Institute. RSMI conducted water, hiking and skiing trips up to the third-fourth category of difficulty. In 1998, a small, but very cozy tourist-sports club "Gidromet" was created in RSHMU by an initiative group of students and collaborators. I was the head of this club until 2015.
I specialized in sports hikes, in judging sports tourism competitions, teaching students. In parallel with this, I was involved in training hydrometeorology students to work in the natural environment and conducted research in the field of professional-applied training by means of sports tourism.
